*Advisor K Vijay Kumar laid foundation stone of 300 bedded Teaching Hospital at Doda* _Interacted with the faculty of health department,besides reviews the security scenario of the district also_

DODA, August 22:
Advisor to Hon’ble Governor, K Vijay Kumar today visited Doda to laid down the foundation stone of 300 bedded Teaching Hospital at Doda in the presence of Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education(J&k) Atal Dulloo, DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode and Principal GMC Doda Dr Tariq Parvez Azad.

The estimated project cost of the teaching hospital is approximately 30 crore and will be constructed in the area of 34000 sq.ft.The total build up area which includes B+3 floor is nearby 1lac 56 thousand sq.ft.

This hospital will have maximum capacity of 500 beds, with additional facilities for patient and Doctors in the form of Canteens, Hospital Kitchen, Laundry services , Central Sterilization section , a Lecturer Hall with 158 seating capacity, a 20 bedded state of art Intensive Care Unit (ICU) , Separate Emergency area with Emergency Operation theatres for Surgery, Gynae and Orthopedics and a floor for faculty offices.

The Drug Ware-house in the Hospital Complex, which is soon going to be place in a appropriate location to be identified by the concerned department, and the respective building is going to be dismantled for making way for construction of New fully equipped emergency services block in Teaching Hospital. The building shall be completed by November 2020 according to the guidelines of MCI.

The Advisor inspected various wards, units and interacted with staff to take firsthand appraisal of their grievances and issues related to the healthcare.

He was apprised by the hospital authorities about the stock situation of emergency drugs and other medicines available at the Hospital. The Advisor also enquired about the other activities being carried out by the health department for the people of the district.

The Advisor while interacting with the hospital authorities ask them to provide best healthcare services to the people and to maintain the stock of essential drugs in the hospital.

Later, the Advisor also convened separate security review meeting with the police authorities.

Other’s who were present during the program are SSP Doda, SE PWD, SP Operations, ASP Doda, Medical Superindent Associated hospital GMC Doda, besides other officials of civil, health and police administration.
