*DDC reviews progress of languishing projects under Education sector* _Directs for expediting the work, for timely completion of each project_

Doda, December 19: District Development Commissioner, Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today reviewed the status of the languishing projects here at a meeting of Education department.

 

He also took stock of the progress made on each project approved under the languishing category.

 

The DDC took scheme-wise physical and financial review of progress on projects undertaken by education department and funded under the languishing project scheme. He also reviewed the technical sanctioning, administrative approval and tendering progress of several projects. 

 

DDC reviewed the progress of ongoing works of KGBV buildings at Assar, Thathri and Nai dangri approved under languishing scheme.

 

The DDC was informed by the executing agencies that the KGBV building at Nai Dangri has reached upto roof level, only the plaster and truss work is pending for which the DDC has set the timeline of first April 2020 for its 100% completion.

 

While reviewing the progress of KGBV building at Thathri,the DDC was apprised that the work of first floor has been completed and the work on second floor is ongoing,for which the DDC has set the final completion date of June first week and for second floor by April 2020.

 

About Assar,the DDC was informed that the plinth has been completed,tender out already, directed to start the work within two days and shall be completed and handed over under the fixed timeline for its proper functioning.

 

Further he has also asked the executing agencies to complete one room in every 15 days at Thathri and Nai Dangri in every aspect,which shall be handed over to the concerned department for its proper functioning.

 

The DDC directed the concerned department to ensure the completion of languishing projects before the targeted timeline as the physical and financial progress of the same is monitored by High Level Committee,and ensure that transparency is maintained in the execution, besides directed them to purchase the required material for the timely completion of the respective projects.

 

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Parshotam Kumar, ACD Doda Akhter Hussain Qazi,XEN REW, CEO Doda Tariq Hussain, officials of concerned engineering wing, besides by other concerned officials of administration.
