*DDC Doda chairs bankers meeting, reviews CD ratio* _Also unveiled the booklet of Potential Linked Credit Plan 2020-21 of district Doda prepared by DDM, NABARD_

Doda, January 03:  District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today reviewed Credit Debit ratio of banks besides chairing District Level Review Committee meeting of officers of banking and civil departments to discuss the achievements against the targets of banking sector.
 
It was informed in the meeting that up to 30th of September banks have extended a total credit of Rs 255.12 crore in favour both under priority as well as non priority sector’s during the FY 2019-20 up to 30th September 2019 thereby achieving 51.28% of the ACP target, and the CD Ratio of district has been increased by 8.39% and stands on 46.87%.
 
DDC directed the bankers to redouble their efforts and initiate concrete steps for lending towards priority sectors to achieve set targets in Annual Credit Plan besides improving the CD ratio of the district from 46.87% to national target of 60%. 
 
DDC directed the bankers to ensure 100% coverage of eligible farmers under KCC whereas agriculture officer was directed to organise awareness camps to sensitize the farmers about benefits of schemes.
 
Moreover while reviewing the pendency of cases under various schemes of different sectors and delay in establishment of JK bank branches in Chilli Pingal, Dali Udhyanpur and Chiralla, DDC shows dissatisfaction with the functioning of the banks especially with JK bank for not taking the matter of establishment in serious manner and it has been directed to all the heads of the respective banks to take a necessary step with regard to pendency and JK bank authorities were directed to take the decision in the matter of establishment of bank branches  in these areas withiny 15 days positively and ACR Doda has been asked to fix the responsibility under the same.
 
Threadbare discussion was held on the centrally sponsored schemes under which loans are provided to the beneficiaries for operating income generating units.
 
He directed all the banks to take effective measures for ensuing  loans especially  in Agriculture, Education, Housing  and employment sector so that majority of the population would be facilitated under various schemes besides providing KCC to the farmers.
 
While reviewing the grant of education loans the DDC was apprised that banks have sanctioned 345 cases with an outstanding of 427.22 lacs upto the quarter under review.
 
He has asked the respective banks to organise special camps for the students across the district to aware them especially about education loans.
 
DDC directed the bankers to provide loans under MUDHRA, NRLM,PMEGP KVIB,DIC,KVIC besides effectively implementing financial assistance schemes to people for establishing their business units.
 
Further reviewing the measures taken towards attaining the objective of doubling of farmers income,the DDC Doda said that there is a need to motivate the big farmers to shift their approach from government assistance to banking sector for the rural and agriculture development.
 
In this regard DDC directed the agriculture department to organise a conference of eligible big farmers of the district and try to motivate them for the promotion of food processing unit and for investing in warehousing and cold chains, besides ask the bank to provide assistance to them in establishing these projects for the development of agriculture sector in Doda.
 
Later DDC,also unveiled the booklet of Potential Linked Credit Plan 2020-21 of district Doda prepared by DDM, NABARD Doda to the tune of Rs 447.91cr for Doda district keeping in view the performance/achievement of various financial institutions working in the district for the last three years and also infrastructure/potential available in the areas of operation.
 
Moreover ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani has been directed to identify the land for the establishment of RSETI within two days in coordination with the LDM including the proceedings of land transfer.
 
The meeting was attended by ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani,LDM SBI,LDO RBI,Cluster head JK bank, District Manager SC ST and OBC development corporation,GM DIC,Dy Director Employment,CAO Doda, Dy Director Sheep Husbandry,DSWO,AD Planning,besides by the manager’s of respective bank branches and officers of concerned departments.
