*DDC reviews progress of developmental projects under Education sector* _Directs for expediting the work, for timely completion of each project_

Doda, February 14: District Development Commissioner, Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode yesterday reviewed the status of developmental projects falling under capex plan here at a meeting of Education department.

 

He also took stock of the progress made on each project approved under the languishing category.

 

The DDC took scheme-wise physical and financial review of progress on projects undertaken by education department and funded under the District plan,State sector and languishing scheme. He also reviewed the technical sanctioning, administrative approval and tendering progress of several projects. 

 

DDC reviewed the progress of ongoing works of KGBV buildings at Assar, Thathri and Nai dangri approved under languishing scheme.

 

The DDC was informed by the meeting that number of projects sanctioned under the district plan of elementary and secondary level are ongoing and many projects are on completion stage.

 

DDC has also enquired that the funds are already released under district plan and yet not materialised,in this regard DDC has directed the concerned department to get the DPR’s from the executing agencies and utilise all the funds which will be followed by the next installment in couple of days.

 

Regarding State sector projects DDC ask the concerned to expedite the progress so that approved projects can be completed under fixed timeline.

 

It was also given out that 100 beded girls hostel inside the premises of Girls Hr Sec School Doda is completed and admissions will be started during the upcoming session.

 

DDC ask the education department to call the application so that it can be made functional this year without any fail.

 

More over he has congratulated the education department for successful completion of phase I of Zimedari project and ask them to extend the same support for the smooth conduct of phase ii which is going to start very soon.

 

He has also directed the executing agencies of RDD to complete all the works of education sector under the fixed timeline, besides also enquired about the distribution of uniforms, textbooks, ratio of enrollment in the govt schools and dropouts etc.

 

The DDC directed the concerned department to ensure the completion of languishing projects before the targeted timeline as the physical and financial progress of the same is monitored by High Level Committee,and ensure that transparency is maintained in the execution, besides directed them to purchase the required material for the timely completion of the respective projects.

 

The meeting was attended by Joint Director/CPO Planning Parshotam Kumar, CEO Doda Tariq Hussain, DEPO Doda Ayaz Mughal,ZEO’s besides by other concerned officials of administration.
