*District Administration roped in Municipal Committee Bhaderwah for distribution of face masks as a preventive measure to combat the spread of COVID-19*

Doda,May 11:

In continuation to the efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 across the district,District Administration Doda today has roped in MC Bhaderwah for Mass distribution of Face masks among the general public of the Bhaderwah.The exercise of manufacturing/distribution of masks is being done under the close supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode.

 

Near about 1 lac face masks has already been supplied to various areas in the district besides among departments like Municipal Council/ committees, Health, Para Military forces, Police, PHE, PDD, food supplies and GMC Doda whose officials are working as frontline functionaries to combat COVID 19. 

 

In addition to the above District Adminstration has also roped up all the BDC Chairpersons of the district for further distribution among the general public of their respective areas, besides to provide further impetus to the mask distribution district administration today has handed over 7300 local manufactured triple layer face mask ( in addition to already issued 2700) to the authorities of MC Bhaderwah for further distribution among the locals within the municipal limits.

 

DDC also informed that district administration has now started distribution of additional 2 lac masks among general public free of cost through FCS&CA department which is ongoing on war footing across the district.

The manufacturing to made masks is going day and night and can be gauzed from the fact that 19000 masks were made in doda town in a single day.

 

“District Administration is not going to left any stone unturned in order to provide a safe and secure environment  to  the public” said Dr Sagar D Doifode DDC Doda. He further made an appeal to the public not to voilate the restrictions imposed in view of lockdown and to cooperate with the District Adminstration.
