*DDC holds meeting of JPDCL, took stock of the functioning of the department* _Emphasised on timely stabilisation/ augmentation of the existing power distribution systems, stressed on timely restoration of all lines to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the upcoming winter season_

District Development Commissioner Doda,Dr Sagar D Doifode chaired the meeting of the key officials of the JPDCL and reviewed the functioning of the department here.
 
During the meeting threadbare discussion held regarding the present status of the availability of power and distribution system in the district, besides various other important measures were thoroughly discussed that how to  augment the present infrastructure so that uninterrupted power supply can be ensured across the district specifically during the forthcoming winter season.
 
During the meeting the SE chenab circle apprised the DDC that the district received power supply through the 132 KV line which is further distributed to the various areas of the district through 33 kv and 11 kv lines.
 
He thanked the DDC for the persistence efforts of the district administration, due to which the district has augmented the present capacity upto 70 MW, adding to this DDC directed the executing department to augment the requisite Infrastructure in a manner that requisite supply can be recieved and accordingly distributed in all the areas of the district,hence can reduce the scheduled cuts in a comprehensive manner.
 
The DDC during the meeting enlisted key areas which needs immediate intervention that can adress the issue of power shortage in the district i.e line strengthening, adequate power supply from the main Grid, augmentation in the present Infrastructure, timely completion of the pending arbitration of 132 Kv line for which DDC asked the AEE TLMD division Udhampur to complete the joint survey from Ramban to Khaleni on priority basis so that the 5-6 damaged towers can be replaced to ensure sufficient power supply to the district.
 
While reviewing the progress on languishing and other CSS projects, DDC directed the executing department to complete all of the pending work and procurement of the requisite material under the fixed timeline with utmost importance and priority.
 
DDC also shows concern regarding the work done of Shalaka and Transrail corporation Ltd in the district and directed them to expedite the work, failing to which strict criminal proceedings will be initiated against the erring corporation under rules.
