*DC Doda chairs Revenue officers meet* _Stressed on to intensify the anti- encroachment drive across the district, Asked them to identify land for construction of BDC offices and SC/ST hostels_

Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today chaired a meeting of revenue officers to discuss the various issues pertaining to writing and updation of Girdawari, conducting of mutation camps and attestation of mutations,removing of illegal encroachments, status of issuance of Domicile certificates, pending land acquisition cases, illegal conversion of agriculture land into non agricultural purposes besides identification of land for establishment of BDC offices and SC/ ST hostels were also discussed in the meeting.
 
Besides these the other issues that were discussed in the meeting include implementation of Social distancing measures in the district, status of quarantine centers, status of present Covid-19 cases, contact tracing etc.
 
During the meeting, the DC directed all concerned Tehsildars to pace up the process of updating Girdawari and it was informed that total Girdawaris which were due for writing are 144 out of which 105 Girdawaris registers are written,and 39 Girdawaris are still pending and it was assured that the process for updating of remaining numbers shall be taken on war footing.
 
Regarding the attestation of mutations, the DC directed the Tehsildars to organise special camps to complete all the pendencies in the upcoming days besides directed the Sub Registrars to provide the copy of the registry to the concerned Tehsildars so that the mutation shall be entered on the Person’s name with in the time period of 15 days including the attestation of mutation.
 
The DC congratulated the officers in regard to the satisfactory progress of issuance of Domicile certificates and asked Revenue Officers to gear up their men and machinery for timely issuance of domicile certificates within their respective jurisdiction in the district.
 
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to put added efforts for issuance of domicile certificates among concerned eligible beneficiaries, adding that the people would approach them (Revenue offices) for issuance of Domicile Certificates in view of the recent advertisement of various posts by Service Selection Board.
 
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Revenue Officers to intensify the anti encroachment drive across the district and strictly adhere to the directions issued by Government in this regard.
 
He stressed upon the need for taking of strict action about every kind of encroachment in rural as well as urban areas of the district and asked them to retrieve state land and kahchari land from the encroachers.
 
The DC also directed the Tehsildars to identify the One kanal land for the BDC offices, besides asked them to identify the two kanal land each for Gandoh, Thathri, Kahara, Bhalla, Bhaderwah, Doda Ghat and Assar within the period of 7 days.
 
The Deputy Commissioner also took stock of scanning of revenue records as well as has been informed that work of scanning of revenue record is in full swing across the district, he directed the concerned officers to speed up the work and ensure timely completion.
 
The Deputy Commissioner directed Tehsildars to keep vigil on the pace of development works going on in their respective jurisdictions and also check the quality of material being used in roads and buildings.
 
The DC also directed the Tehsildars to strictly enforce the Social Distancing measures regarding Covid-19 in their areas and also to ensure the compulsory wearing of mask’s by the general public, besides directed them to impose penalties on violation of these measures in strict manner.
 
Among others all Revenue Officers of the district including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, ACR Doda, Sub Divisional Magistrate’s Thathri, Gandoh and Assar, and all Tehsildars of the district attended the meeting.
