*DDC reviews progress on PMGSY roads in the district* _226 km PMGSY roads Blacktopped across the district,225 habitations covered_ *DDC sets the target of 1km blacktopping per day for both the divisions*

Doda, JULY 15:

District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today convened a meeting of Executive Engineers to review the progress on roads in the district being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

 

The Ex En’s apprised the DDC of work progress on different roads in their respective sub divisions besides Informed about the total length achieved so far and future work plan.

 

The DDC sought component wise details of work progress on various roads and it has been informed that the total approved length for the district is 807.78 km out of which 226 km of road has been blacktopped,333.23 km length has been mettaled, the shingled length is 421.98 km besides 675.86 km length of fair weather road has been achieved across the district.

 

Moreover it has been informed by the Ex En’s that total 11 special bridges has been sanctioned out of which 4 has been completed, besides 225 habitations are successfully connected across the district.

 

The DDC asked the Engineers to expedite the pace of work on all PMGSY roads for timely completion of road projects besides DDC directed submit the work progress of each activity on daily basis to the DDC office.

 

The DDC also set the daily/ weekly targets of work and asked to share the progress on regular basis, besides also set the target of 1km of blacktopping on daily basis for every sub division of the district.

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, Executive Engineer PMGSY division Doda Nd Thathri, along with AEE’s of the respective sub divisions.
