*Hon’ble Advisor Baseer Ahmad Khan visits Bhaderwah, reviews developmental scenario of the district* _Holds interactive session with scores of delegations_ *E-inaugrated 1853 PMAY houses and other various important community works of RDD* _Directs all officers to maintain connect with the people, and resolve their grievances with utmost priority_

Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today visited Bhaderwah  of Doda district and reviewed various development works and welfare schemes being executed in the district in a meeting held with the Division level officers and district officers of Doda administration.

 

At the outset the Advisor Baseer Ahmad Khan e- inaugrated 1853 newly constructed PMAY house’s, besides other 9 community benefit works of different nature and dedicated all to the public.

 

During the meeting, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, apprised the Advisor of various schemes and mega projects under implementation in the district by various departments in detail, besides highlighting achievements in various sectors by the District Administration Doda.

 

Regarding Mgnrega,14th FC and PMAY- G,the DDC apprised the Advisor that district has achieved more than 100% target in PD generation last year, and keeping in view the last year progress, the set target for the district is 39 lac out of which more than 31 lac PD’s are already generated, adding to this 12609 set target of PMAY are already geo-tagged and construction of houses are ongoing on war footing, besides Informed that approximately 52 Cr funds are already sanctioned to the panchayats under 14th FC for various works which were identified by the panchayats itself.

 

The Advisor directed the concerned to ensure the timely payments of the wages in coordination with the Sarpanches, besides directed the DDC to take fortnight reviews of the MGNREGA scheme on priority basis.

 

The Advisor also directed the DDC to resolve the land disputes if any hampering the construction of the newly sanctioned Panchayat Ghars, so that all the sanctioned Panchayat Ghars shall be constructed under the fixed timeframe avoiding any inconveniences to the functioning of the panchayats.

 

The Advisor asked the concerned to engage all the PRI members to inspect all the ongoing works in their respective areas of various departments,so that the quality of the works shall not be compromised and vigilant PRI institutions shall be established at the grassroot level.

 

Regarding mega ambitious projects like Goha Khaleni- Sudhmahadev road, the DDC apprised the Advisor that all the documentation have been completed, and land has been acquired under New land acquisition laws, besides regarding High Altitude Medicinal Plant, DDC said that the construction work on many related buildings are ongoing at war footing basis.

 

The DDC also apprised the Advisor that around 76% physical work on GMC Doda has been completed and the offline classes have been started few days back in the make shift  campus.

 

The Advisor stressed on all the departments to expedite the progress on all languishing projects, besides directed the PHE department not to left any household uncovered under Jal Jeevan Mission.

 

While reviewing the Power sector, the Advisor directed the concerned department to take up the matter of land requirement for the construction of new Recieving stations with the DDC at an earliest, besides directed the authorities to achieve the targets of revenue collection and said if any complications is being faced to do the job, take the necessary help from the police department.

 

Regarding tourism sector, the Advisor said that the Bhaderwah has immense tourism potential which is required to be exploited for which the Advisor directed the BDA and tourism department to jointly

frame the project report regarding the Infrastructure requirements and activities which shall be prioritised and finalised to make the destination as famous as other tourist destinations of the UT.

 

Similarly for Floriculture department,the Advisor directed the concerned to demonstrate all the proposed activities of the department before the DDC and directed the DDC to identify land in Doda and other areas so that beautiful recreational parks shall be constructed for the locals.

 

Later on the Advisor met scores of delegations and listened to their grievances patiently and assured that all their genuine demands will be redressed with utmost importance.

 

Among others present during the meeting are SSP Doda,Chief Engineer JPDCL, Director RDD Jammu, ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, Jt Director Tourism Jammu, CEO BDA, SE PWD, SE Hydraulics, SE PDD, SP Bhaderwah, besides other Officers of the district administration.
