*Secretary RDD reviews progress under MGNREGA, PMAY of twin district’s of Doda and Kishtiwar at Doda* _E inaugrates 663 newly constructed PMAY house’s and other various important community work’s of RDD Doda_ *Emphasizes strict adherence to quality parameters, set timelines,Calls for timely payment of wages, installation of CIB on every work*

Doda,February 26:

Secretary Rural Development Department, Sheetal Nanda today reviewed the functioning of the department and implementation of flagship schemes in district Doda and Kishtiwar at a day-long meeting, held at headquarter Doda.

 

The meeting was attended by DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode,Director RDD, Jammu, Sudershan Kumar; Addl. Secretary RDD Pran Singh; Joint Director Planning, Subash Chander Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Development, Doda Prem Singh Chib, ACD Kishtiwar Kishore Singh Katoch ; DPO Doda Mohd Idrees Lone,DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani, besides other senior officers of the department.

 

Secretary had a detailed block wise  review of both the district’s regarding Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), budget performance, payments of wages,  details of Aadhar seeding (ABP conversion), details of  incomplete and ongoing works for 2018-19 and 2019-20, person days generated during 2019-20, status of works being executed under CD& Pyt, Labour budget for 2020-21 and its uploading status, status of liabilities under MGNREGA, job card seeding, geo tagging of MGNREGA phase-1and II performance, construction of panchayat ghars etc.

 

Secretary directed to expedite  progress on several vital works and issued strict instructions to BDO’s to expedite the ongoing development works for timely completion. She exhorted upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in execution of all works being executed in RDD sector in the District’s. She impressed upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets during the current financial year. She also stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and timely completion.

 

Moreover the Secretary directed all BDO’s to ensure timely payments to beneficiaries under PMAY and other schemes, besides achieving 100% Aadhar seeding of job card holders and Geo-tagging of all developmental works within the stipulated time frame. She also passed instructions to maintain a comprehensive database of work done, besides physical and financial achievements made by them under different schemes.

 

While reviewing the physical and financial progress and new targets under MGNREGA, the Secretary directed BDO’s to complete all works taken up under the scheme during 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. She further called for achieving 100% targets under CD Panchayat funds.  She also stressed upon the BDOs and field staff to make sure fortnightly payments to all MGNREGA workers, besides uploading all completed works on Citizen Information Board (CIB) before payments.

 

The Secretary directed ACD’s to ensure implementation of all directions and close monitoring of the progress. She has stressed on maintaining better coordination of field functionaries and MIS operators so that pendencies shall be avoided.

 

The Secretary asked the BDOs to complete all sanctioned houses within this financial year besides mobilizing their men and machinery for effective implementation of all schemes and coverage of 100 per cent eligible beneficiaries. 

 

The Secretary impressed upon the officers to optimally achieve the set targets during the current financial year. She emphasized on 100 per cent Aadhaar seeding of beneficiaries in their respective areas.

 

Earlier the Secretary also e-inaugrated 663 newly constructed PMAY house’s and other 8 work’s of community oriented of district Doda and dedicated all the works for the public of the district.
