*No gathering allowed beyond the ceiling limit of 25 persons across the district.*(DC Doda Vikas Sharma) _Says district has achieved nearly 100% in the Vaccination of above 45 years and 74% in the 18 plus age group, besides the positivity rate has dipped to 0.35%_ *Appeals locals to develop habit of CAB inoculate themselves against Covid-19 & refrain from unnecessary visits to public places –  violators shall invite stern action*

No gathering beyond the ceiling limit of 25 persons shall be allowed anywhere in the district, the statement has been made by the Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma during the press conference held here at DC office Doda yesterday. He further said officer incharge of the government department violating ceiling norms shall be held personally responsible. Further the due intimation is required for marriage or any other social gathering to the concerned Tehsildar and it shall be ensured that ceiling of 25 be strictly adhered to.

 

While speaking to the media persons the DC said that violation of Covid appropriate behaviour shall be unacceptable and to curb the violations in toto, the District Administration in coordination with Police department have already taken various stern actions by initiating aggressive surveillance in the market places for implementation of the CAB and also laid fine upon the persons found  violating of Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) i.e not wearing of masks, not maintaining social distancing etc. Besides intensive IEC compaign has also been launched.

 

The DC also said that the habit of  following CAB especially in the public and market places is the only way to completely uproot the spread of this deadly virus, besides asked the shopkeepers to ensure that social distancing is rigorously followed in their shops, and urged the locals not to visit the market unless it is important and not to be the part of the crowd in any manner. Night curfew has been maintained,  and it shall be enforced strictly.

 

With regard to present status of Covid positive cases in the district, the DC apprised that at present around 100 positive cases are in the district out of which only 10 are in hospitals and around 90 are asymptomatic which are in home isolation, besides the positivity rate has dipped to 0.35 percent.

 

With regard to Covid vaccination the DC informed that the district has achieved nearly 100% mark in the vaccination of above 45 years of age group, besides, 74% population above 18 plus has been inoculated across the district till now in mission mode.

 

The DC urged all the people across the district to get themselves vaccinated against the Covid-19, besides asked to get the 2nd dose of vaccination wherever one  dose has been administered.

 

He informed that Associated Hospital GMC Doda has established four oxygen generation plants with commutative capacity of 3500 LPM. 

 

During the press conference the SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed, SP Bhaderwah Abdul Qayoom, ASP (Hqr) Raj Kumar and DIO DODA Mohd Ashraf Wani were also present.
