*The DC Doda interacted with Members of women SHG of JKRLM Mission* _Took note of the performance/achievements of Mission & assured every possible support for skill upliftment of the SHG Members_

Doda, September 01; Alongside of the  Inauguration of Training Event (SAATH) by the Hon’ble Lt. Governor UT, organized by Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), the DC Doda Vikas Sharma interacted with the SHG members and was appraised about the functioning and essence of JKRLM Mission in the District.

 

The DC Doda took note of the performance and achievements of Mission in the district and assured every possible support especially through convergence for the betterment and upliftment of the poorest of the poor, through organizing them into self help groups and supporting their livelihood options and interventions. Worthy DC Doda impressed upon the trainings of SHG members in different livelihood sectors particularly Horticulture and Agri and allied activities. 

The event was overwhelming experience for the participants wherein they were given chance to share their ideas and feedback.  Also, the SHG members displayed their products and livelihood activities before worthy DC Doda.

 

The inaugural function of the Training Event (SAATH) by the Hon’ble Lt. Governor UT, was live broadcasted through NIC centre of Doda and was attended by  Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma, District Information Officer Doda, Nodal Person JKRLM, Block Programme Manager JKRLM and SHG members from different blocks of district Doda.

 

The Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) has planned to organize capacity building programme named as “SAATH” in the UT of J&K. The programme is meant to raise existing business enterprises owned by the SHG women into higher order enterprises as a part of transition from existing localized enterprises. 500 SHG women entrepreneurs would be provided training and out of which 100 are to be provided one to one mentoring support, for enhancing their competitiveness and stake in the specific trade sector.

It also aims at facilitating and motivating the beneficiaries of Self Help Groups (SHGs) supported by JKRLM to exhibit and sell their products by onboarding the products on various e-commerce platforms, national and international expo’s.

The Hon’ble Lt. Governor UT of J&K inaugurated the event at SKICC on 01.09.2021 at 11.30 AM in the presence of Administrative Secretaries and dignitaries of JKRLM Mission.
