Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav 2021 Activities discussed for month long “Clean India” compaign at Doda.

Doda, September 30; To celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, Deptt. of Youth Affairs and Sports is organizing “Clean India” Program through out the country in which various activities are to be organized to clean waste mainly single use plastic waste from 1 st to 31 st October 2021.

 

 ADC Doda R. K Bharti chaired a meeting here at Doda, wherein various activities were discussed with District heads of key departments.

The programme shall be launched on 1st October from DC office Doda. On 2nd day of October plogging run shall be held by NYKS, DYSSO and NSS from Clock tower to Dak Banglow Doda.  Cleanliness activities shall also be carried out collectively in all panchayats and offices. 

 

The aim of the drive is to involve all segments of society, Government organizations including PRIS and NGO’s to instill awareness and feeling of pride among citizens to keep their surroundings.

The key activities of the programme will be collection and disposal of waste through collection drives and door to door campaign, Village Beautification, Maintenance and beautification drives for Historical Monuments and Heritage Sites, Community Centers, Youth Clubs/ Mahila Mandal Buildings, School Buildings, Panchayat Buildings, Offices and Cleanliness and maintenance through voluntary work camps.

Hotspot for waste collection shall be Tourist Places, Educational Institution, Bus Stands, Highways, Government Office Buildings, Religious Places and surroundings, Hospital and Water Resources.
