*Div Com Jammu reviews progress of ongoing mega projects, developmental scenario and implementation of various schemes at Doda* _Asks PDD to frame efficient winter preparedness plan on priority_

Doda, October 29:

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today chaired a meeting of key Officials of various departments here at DC office Doda to review the progress of ongoing mega projects, besides took stock of the developmental scenario and implementation of various schemes in the district.

 

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to the progress of construction of alternate NH 244, twin tunnels, physical status of GMC Doda, creation of recieving station for GMC, National High Altitude Medicinal Plant Bhaderwah, completion of PMGSY schemes, besides reviewed the winter preparedness, coverage of families under PM Kissan, KCC, latest status of JJM implementation and other issues impending the developmental works.

 

While reviewing the progress of NH 244 the NHIDCL authorities apprised the Div Com that the work on the Khaleni Malhori tunnel has already been started, widening of the highway is also ongoing, besides informed the chair that the resurvey of the Dranga tunnel has been completed, in addition to this structure assessment from khaleni to Thathri is almost completed and 3D will be published in the newspaper in coming days.

 

The Div Com directed the DC to complete the 3D with in Two days and by Monday same shall be published in the newspaper, besides asked them to resolve minor issues at their own level in coordination with the local representatives for speedy execution of the works.

 

The Div Com also directed the NHIDCL to expedite the process of documentation and other necessary requirements of Dranga tunnel in coordination with the District Administration and other higher authorities so that its work shall also get started at an earliest for the convenience of the general public of the district.

 

While reviewing the PDD Department he directed  concerned to take up the matter with higher authorities for providing additional buffer stock of transformers of various required capacities, poles and conductors etc ahead winter. He asked PDD to frame efficient winter preparedness plan on priority

Also directed to write authorities for augmentation of present power supply to the district to avoid inconvenience to general public of District during approaching winter. 

He directed Project Division JPDCL to transfer the funds required to PWD for the land levelling of dedicated recieving station of 10MVA for GMC Doda, besides asked the PWD to complete the work of land leveling with in days for timely creation of the recieving station.

He directed the DDC and SSP to regulate the rates of mining minerals in the district to avoid public inconvenience and public  cry.

 

The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma, ADC Doda Dr RK Bharti, CPO Doda,  SE PWD, SP Bhaderwah, GM NHIDCL, ACR Doda. CMO Doda, DIO Doda, Ex. Engineers of Jal Shakti & PDD, CAO Doda and other  officers and officials of concerned departments.
