*Agriculture department Doda organises impressive program on World Soil Day,briefs participants about various schemes related to Soil science*

On the occasion of World Soil day, an impressive function was organized by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Doda at Agriculture Complex Doda.
The function was organized under the overall supervision of Director Agriculture Jammu, K K Sharma and under guidance of CAO Doda Sh. Anil Gupta.The theme selected for this year’s Soil day was “Halt Soil Salinization ,boost Soil productivity.
DAO Doda Haroon Hussain who is also the Nodal officer of Soil Health Scheme gave the introductory speech.He elaborated the aims and objectives of programme to the participants.
Assistant Soil Chemist Zareena STL Doda Zareena Akhtar delivered the expert lecture and gave an overview of Scheme. She also elaborated the various concepts of Soil Science and advised the participants that the farmers be motivated to test their Soil so that the desired nutrients are incorporated into the soil.
