*DC Doda directs all essential services departments to be in readiness mode to tackle any exigency during the ongoing rainy, snowy season* _Took stock of the winter preparedness measures_

Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma directed the heads of all essential services departments to keep their men and machinery in readiness mode 24*7 to mitigate any exigency if arisen across the district during the ongoing weather advisory issued by the Govt of J&K.
Moreover the DC informed all the controlling officers to be responsible for the delay in action by their field functionaries in case of restoration anywhere in the district which shall invite strict action against them under rules, besides the DC has asked all of them to ensure that there Control rooms shall be running 24*7 and there should be proper maintenance of grievance register alongwith the date of disposal.
In addition to this the DC has asked them to give wide publicity to the control room numbers, besides asked all the executive departments to submit the names of the contractors, their alloted roads, their contact numbers division wise by today itself, so that they shall be timely mobolised for the restoration process.
With regard to the availability of ambulances, medicines and doctors including paramedic staff, the DC directed the CMO to ensure that there shall be no shortage of medicines in the far off health centres across the district and Ambulances are all in their respective areas in working condition.
Besides the DDC directed the PDD to submit the list of locations where in in case of any damages to the transformers more than 48 hours will be required for the restoration, besides asked them to submit the daily report as per the devised format about the power scenario of the district.
DC further directed the FSS&CA department to ensure sufficient stock of food grains, LPG and other essential item in the remote areas especially in the Gandoh, Dessa, Marmat and Gundana areas for atleast three months.
While reviewing NHIDCL it was informed that stage tenders for restoration of road from 9th KM upto Thathri has already been alloted. DC directed the authorities to keep their men machinery ready for immediate restoration if needed.
The meeting was attended by SSP Doda, ADC Doda, CPO Doda, SE PWD, SDM Gandoh, Ex En PWD, Ex En Mechanical, sEx En PMGSY Thathri, DIO Doda, EO MC Doda, representative of NHIDCL, besides representatives of various line departments were also present.
