*DC Doda chairs, District Task Force Committee meeting on IPPI and DLCC meeting on National Tobacco Control Programme* *Also reviews “Har Ghar Dastak” compaign in the district.*

Doda, January 10; As the nation wide date for Pulse Polio Immunization Programme  has been fixed on 23rd of January this year and vaccine has reached to the district, the Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma convened a meeting of all the members of District Task Force Committee on Intensified  Pulse Polio Immunization programme here at DC office Doda. He also chaired meeting of members of DLCC for national Tobacco Control Programme in the district and reviewed the ongoing “Har Ghar Dastak” in the district.

 

While discussing on the IPPI programme it was informed that 23rd January has been fixed for the booth level activity on OPV  followed by house to house Vaccination drive for next two days which can be extended for few more days in case of bad weather situation.

It was further informed that 70152 beneficiaries under age 0 to 5 years of the district are the target and 521 booths have been established through out the district. 2188 workers from health, education, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and volunteers shall cary out the programme supervised by 104 supervisors.

 

While discussing National Tobacco Control Programme DC directed the CEO/ Principal Degree College Doda to certify that no Tobacco selling point exists in 100 yard radius of education  institutions.

He also directed to spread awareness and place hoardings and posters on hazards of consuming Tobacco and tobacco products.

He also directed to run a compaign on social media in this regard. He further directed the concerned to implement the COTPA Act 2003 in true letter and spirit in the district.

 

While reviewing the progress on Har Ghar Dastak program in the district he was informed that 412 Tuberculosis cases are active in the district which are given free medical treatment with rupees 500 incentive  per patient. It was also informed that 164000 persons in the district have been screened under Har Ghar Dastak program till date, which is more that 40 percent. 

While reviewing block wise progress it came out that Assar Block and Thathri block have achieved more than 97 percent which is highly appreciable while other blocks are lagging behind  the fixed target, for which DC directed BMOs concerned to pace up the daily house to house screening in order to raise their progress up to the desired targets.

 

The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, PO ICDS Doda, ACD Doda,  SDM Assar, CMO Doda, SDM Thathri, DIO Doda, CEO Doda, ARTO Doda, Principal Degree college Doda, District Tuberculosis officer, AP Community Medicine GMC Doda, BMOs Doctors and other health officials.
