*IIInd Day Awareness-Cum -training program on Food Fortification & Eat Right initiatives held in Doda*

Doda, February 14; Acting upon the directions of Commissioner, FDA, J&K and District Magistrate Doda, a team of Food Safety DFCO Doda held an Awareness-Cum -training program on Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives for ICDS POSHAN, FBO’s, and local vendors today in Doda.
 
For achieving the goals and bjectives of Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives 3rd Workshop was organised by show- casing and demanstrating the significance of Food Fortification or enrichment process of adding Micronutrients to the Food, which is being carried out by Government as a public Health set policy to aim at to bring down the graph of ascending numbers of dietary deficiencies, malnutritions statistics within the population in our community and Nation as well.
 
 Scaling up the health benefits of Food Fortification and Combating with the prevalent challenging issues of malnutrition and dietary defiencies in General public particularly in Children , pregnant women & elders ,the Deptt. is industriously addressing this task as an adoration and vital part of the Duties. During this workshop more than 100 Anganwari workers and Superviosers of ICDS, Food Bussiness Operators, Stakeholders locals and , prominent citizen and public , took participation and during the hours of this workshop Sh. Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety DFCO Doda made deliberations on Food Fortification and Eat Right initiatives within the regulatory framework to create conducive environment for effective adoptation of Food Fortification in the District and he ensured the demonstrations of the products of Fortified Food and their requirement in the welfare of the Public in General . The Enforcement Officers Sh. Javed iqbal Bangroo , Sh.Mohd .Amin Khan, Sh. Balbir Singh and Sh. Farooq Ahmad Sheikh all delivered the lectures on Food Fortification & Eat Right initiatives and envisaged the instructions to the trainees to implement the Govt. policy in their projects especially in Angawri Centres to prevent large scale malnutrition and to slide down the graph of Anaemia which is still prevalent in children and guided them to create Social behavior and environment to achieve population level health impact through a systematic change approach.
