*DC Doda reviews saturation of Self Employment schemes in the district*

(Self Employment) is the slogan of the current UT administration to make our youth self-reliant and provide the unemployed youth gainful livelihood with dignity. 

In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan convened a meeting of all the stakeholder departments and reviewed their performance. 

 

DC has directed the concerned officers to certify by the end of March 2023 about the 100% disbursement of all the cases under various self-employment schemes, providing subsidised loans to the desirous unemployed youth who have applied under different schemes to start their own entrepreneur.

 

Under PMEGP, it was informed that 1042 cases have been sanctioned out of 1261 sponsored cases, and 499 cases have been disbursed till date in the current financial year. DC has instructed the departments dealing with Self Employment schemes to provide the list of sponsored/ sanctioned cases to the control room of DC office so that the applicants/ beneficiaries may be contacted and hand holded for the setting of their profitable business establishments. Deputy Director Employment and LDM have been asked to coordinate and make sure that all the desirous applicants get their chosen financial assistance at the earliest. 

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Doda Suresh Kumar, GM DIC/ DD Employment Idrees Lone, CHO Doda, DSHO Doda, District Agriculture Officer, Food Safety DFCO Doda, LDM, Zonal Manager JK Bank, DIO Doda, Principal Polytechnic College Doda, Superintendent ITI Doda, District Manager KVIB, representatives of Handloom, Handicrafts, DUDA, and other concerned officials.
