*DC Doda reviews delivery of the Health services in the District*

DODA, March 17: In order to review the healthcare scenario of the district, the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan on Friday chaired a meeting of senior health functionaries of the district at DC Office Complex Doda. 

 

At the outset, the DC took a detailed review of achievements under various health schemes, functioning of health institutions, infrastructure upgradation, and the healthcare facilities being extended to the patients. 

 

CMO Doda Dr A H Zargar briefed the chair about the functioning of health department and indicator wise achievements of the department. 

 

Speaking on the occasion, the DC Doda laid stress on the rationalization of staff working under NHM, maintaining monthly work done of the health staff of the District, and maintaining individual leave account of all the etc. 

 

Regarding to increase in institutional deliveries at block level, the DC directed all the BMOs to put in their best to utilizes the proper services of ASHAs to motivate the pregnant ladies to go for institutional and safe delivery, besides gave more emphasis on immunization and anti natal check. 

 

Regarding the attachment of health staff, the chair strictly directed all the concerned, including BMOs, not to attach any staff without the prior approval from the competent authority. 

 

The DC also said that to provide better and quality health services to the people of the district, rotation wise deputation of medical officers once in a week shall be implemented in those areas, where MOs are not available, so that patients may not suffer anymore.

 

The DC urged upon health functionaries to come up to the expectations of the patients and focus on quality, assured, accessible, affordable health care in the district.

 

Further, he said that punctuality of staff as well as maintaining hygienic conditions in health facilities is indispensable, and lackadaisical approach in this regard will not be tolerated.

 

Besides CMO Doda, the meeting was attended by Addl. Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti, Block Medical Officers (All) and other concerned of the department.
