_Youthon-2023 concludes with Chenab Rafting Championship, Beach Games & fun_ *More than 500 adventure enthusiasts enjoyed the day*

DODA, March 28: Doda Youthon 2023 – a mega youth festival started in the district from 18th of this month with multiple youth activities, with the sole aim of youth engagement and channelizing their efforts in positive, encouraging and gainful pursuits for their prosperous, bright and well groomed future. The festival recorded grand success in bracing the youth with new ideas, opportunities, and energy and in revitalising the ‘Youth Clubs’ established in all the 237 panchayats of the district. The festival culminated today with Chenab White Water Rafting Championship, Beach Wolley Ball, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Fun activities, music, and adventure at Shibnote Prem Nagar.
The Chenab White Water Rafting Championship was thrown open by Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom at Shibnote near Prem Nagar (Doda).
The Championship was organised by District Administration in coordination and technical support of White Water Federation of J&K and Extreme Adventure Group. The rafting was successfully held at Shibnote for the third time. The whole festival was a part of ADBHUT Doda initiative and under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Rafting Championship shall promote rural adventure tourism in the district while engaging youth in gainful activities and creating livelihood opportunities for them.
The Championship witnessed overwhelming public response, and more than 500 youth participated in the Rafting adventure and other Games.
The DC Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav, SSP Kishtwar Khalil Ahmad Poswal, Vishwa Bandhu CO BSF (Tourist), Prof Madhulika HOD Biotechnology Jammu University (Tourist), ACR Doda Sanjeev Kumar, Officials of Youth Services and Sports, School Education department, Information Department, Media fraternity, thousands of Youth and Students participated in the culmination of Youthon 2023 at Shibnote. The Championship was managed and supervised of SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar.
The rafting was conducted following all safety standards, and the people, especially the youth of the district, enjoyed and appreciated the whole festival. It was informed that the rafting activity would continue at the venue until the organisers receive responses from the visitors.
The participants of the Championship extended gratitude to the district administration Doda, especially DC, for taking the innovative initiative for youth engagement and appealed to organise such programs on regular intervals.

Total 5 rafting teams, 8 Wolley Ball teams played to try their luck. Other games were open for the public/ participants. Prizes were distributed among the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position holders in Rafting, Wolley Ball, and other games.
