*DC Doda Oversight: Enhancing Healthcare Services*

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, accompanied by SSP Doda Javaid Iqbal, Principal GMC Doda Dr. Puja vimesh, CMO Doda Om Kumar, Tehsildar Doda, Medical professionals, UG doctors, and representatives of the medical department, conducted a comprehensive review at the Associate Hospital of GMC Doda. 

 

The purpose was to ensure the smooth functioning of the hospital, catering to patients from both local and surrounding areas. 

 

Several critical issues were addressed during the meeting, including the proper implementation of the Ayushman Golden health card, status updates on Jan Aushadhi, prescription of generic medicines, security arrangements within the hospital premises, installation of ATM facilities, and addressing concerns related to parking, security, and potential incidents like molestation. 

 

The DC emphasized the need for a 24-hour ambulance service and urged the concerned officers to resolve internal issues within the GMC Doda with coordination.

 

Medical students raised concerns about accommodation, library facilities, security checks, stipend issues, and housing rent allowances, which were duly noted.

 

 Additionally, gynecologists and pediatricians highlighted security concerns during their working hours, prompting the SSP Doda to assure comprehensive security arrangements by the district police department. The DC Doda also emphasized prescribing standard medicines to patients to avoid substandard alternatives, inspecting the Jan Aushadhi and Amrit Aushadhi Kendras, and ensuring the availability of quality generic medicines.

 

During the visit, the DC Doda inspected various hospital wards and the drug store of the Associate Hospital GMC Doda, ensuring firsthand oversight of the infrastructure and services provided. Directives were issued to address all highlighted concerns promptly, aiming to enhance the overall healthcare experience for patients and medical professionals alike.
