One day training of Zonal/Sectoral Magistrates for upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha-2024 conducted in Doda

Doda February 27 : 

In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election in 2024, one-day training session under the supervision of District Election Officer Doda Harvinder Singh, was organized yesterday for Zonal/Sectoral Magistrates at meeting hall of DC office Doda. The training aimed to equip these officials with all necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out their duties during the electoral process.

 

During the training, Deputy District Election Officer Doda Om Prakash Bhagat focused on various issues like distribution centres for 3 Assembly constuiencies, distance between polling stations and distribution centres, proper arrangements in polling stations and directed the Zonal/Sectoral Magistrates to visit the polling stations after allocation and check AMF & proper arrangements there. The training covered a wide range of topics, including election laws, procedures, and protocols that needed to be followed during polling. The zonal/sectoral Magistrates were briefed on their roles and responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining law and order, overseeing polling stations, and ensuring the safety and security of voters.

 

 Dr Akhter Hussain Assist. Prof. GDC Bhaderwah, District level Master Trainer ( DLMT) gave a detailed training related to use of EVM machine, working and counting of votes. Officials stressed the significance of impartiality, transparency, and strict adherence to the election code of conduct. The training session also focused on equipping the Magistrates with the skills to handle any potential issues or challenges that may arise on election day. 

 

The 2nd training of Zonal/Sectoral Magistrates will be conducted after the allocation of thier Jurisdiction of Polling Stations.
