PM SHRI Govt.HSS Bhalra observed the Kargil Vijay Diwas.

 

DODA JULY 26-PM Shri Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhalra, Bhaderwah today observed the Kargil Vijay Diwas with pride and reverence. The day marks the victory of the Indian armed forces in the 1999 Kargil War. On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army recaptured all the military posts in Kargil that had been occupied by Pakistani troops and militants.

 

As a tribute to the brave heart soldiers participated in Operation Vijay, the NCC Cadets under 2 J&K (I) Coy NCC Bhaderwah, students and staff members of HSS Bhalra, Bhaderwah celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26thJuly, 2024 in the School premises in which a total of 85 cadets, Ex-cadets, students and staff members participated. 

 

On this occasion, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul (Associate NCC Officer, Zonal Cultural and Counseling incharge) said that 527 soldiers were just a number for us, but their families had gone through lot of pain because of loss of their family members and motivated NCC cadets to organize more such nation-building events and stressed about the hidden enemy, Corona virus, and its impact on millions of lives.  Cadet under Dr. Kumar was also briefed about Kargil with a famous quote by late Captain Vikram Batra – “Either I will return after hoisting the tricolor, or I will be wrapped in it, but I will return for sure”.

 

All the participants sung NCC song, National anthem and offered floral tributes to the brave soldiers and maintained two minutes of silence who sacrificed their lives for our country.

 

The event was a great success, with the active participation and efforts of 2 J&K (I) Coy NCC Bhaderwah cadets and aspirants under the leadership Sh. Pardeep Singh Billawria (Principal of the Institution).
