National Informatics Centre started at District Doda with an objective to promote Informatics Culture in the District. As Doda is a newly formed district in the state JK, NIC district centre Doda is a new member in the family of NIC units. Since its formation, NIC, Doda has played a major role in helping the District Administration in completing various time bound tasks. The Centre is of great help in extending the computer facilities to almost all departments in the District Development Commissioner’s Office. E-Mail and internet facilities are available to almost each department of the office. Various training’s are also organized from time to time for Officers / Officials of the District to keep them updated about the latest development and in the field of Information Technology.
e-Governance Projects Implemented through NIC District Centre Doda.
Description: Electoral Roll Management System (ERMS) developed and implemented by NIC, the data entry is done and the electoral rolls are generated in Urdu and English. Summary revisions, special summary revisions and continuous update of electoral data and generation of final electoral Rolls/ supplements are being carried out as and when asked for by the commission.
Description: Public Grievance Redress System (PGR) has been developed by the election commission. This system has been developed in such a manner that in addition to providing redress to complaints of the public, It also serves as a common interface for providing services. It is thus aimed as a complete G to C interface to provide seamless services to the citizens on election related matters.
Project : Computerization of ARTO Doda
Description: Computerization of all the day to day activities in the ARTO Doda has been done and all the licenses , permit, fitness certificates etc. are now issued from the software i.e. VAHAN and SARARTHI.
Project : Centralized Personal Information System (CPIS)
Description: The aim of this project is to capture the employee’s profile as well as offices profile in the CPIS database of all the departments, spread over in the entire state of Jammu & Kashmir. It also helps to keep up-to-date information of all the employees, when they are promoted, transferred or retired etc. It also aims to assign a unique Employee Identification Number to all the employees for future references. Further this CPIS database can be used for electronic service book and GPF.

Project : National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS)

Description: To enable live reporting of the animal disease from their respective blocks in the districts. One of the main and important objective of launching NADRS was to obtain correct and timely data of the listed diseases in terms of number of attacks, outbreaks and deaths caused by these diseases.
